LACK of wind made it impossible to hold dinghy races at Tenby Sailing Club on Tuesday, April 8th and Saturday, April 12th.

Better conditions are anticipated in the coming weeks, and for the start of the National Redwing racing series on Thursday, May 15th.

The first Cruiser race is scheduled for 11.30 on Sunday, May 4th.

Sadly two of the racing fleet have departed. Frank Miller’s ‘Cocoa’ has been sold, and will now be berthed in Aberdovey, and Denny Young’s ‘Heather’ has come to the end of her life.

The Passage race from Pembroke Haven to Tenby on Saturday, June 14th has attracted some sponsorship in the form of £500 in prizes, and Swansea Sailing Club is organising a cruiser outing to Tenby on the same day, so, weather permitting there will be a sizeable flotilla anchored in the North Bay.

Tenby Sailing Club will lay on a Rhib to ferry crews ashore.

The second round of Junior Registrations on April 9th produced a grand total of 26 youngsters who can now begin to enjoy the wonders of sailing at Tenby Sailing Club, starting on Wednesday April 16th at 5.30pm.

Senior Instructor Harrison Richards says that Tenby Sailing Club has received three new RS Teras, funded by the Sports Wales Be Active Wales Fund which will return the fleet to six serviceable Teras to support junior training. Jon Nuttall pictured delivering them.

A sailing meeting will be held at the clubhouse on Friday, 31 January
