BATS, balls, clubs and racquets were the order of the day at a busy Haverfordwest Community Clubs event held earlier this month.
The event at Haverfordwest Tennis Club was packed with 90 Primary School children from St Marks, Fenton and Mary Immaculate schools.
The young people were kept busy with a range of activities and drills delivered by Haverfordwest Tennis Club, Haverfordwest County Football Cub and the town’s Cricket and Golf Clubs.
Young Ambassadors from Haverfordwest High VC School assisted with the delivery of activities on an action-packed day.
Young people who had enjoyed the various activities were then signposted to the clubs to encourage more fun and participation.
The event was kindly sponsored by Valero and fruit for the children was supplied by Morrisons and water by Princes Gate.
Dan Bellis of Sport Pembrokeshire, said: “It was fantastic to see so many children taking part in sport and enjoying themselves.
“A great time was had by all, and our hope now is that some of these children have found an activity that they really enjoyed and have been inspired to join a local Club.
“Big thanks to all the schools who supported the event to the Coaches and Young Ambassadors for running the activities, and to Morrisons and Princes Gate for providing refreshments on the day.”
