PEMBROKE First XV completed their season a week ago finishing a creditable third in their WRU Division after a season that saw them have a winning run mid-season, which was not sustained in a tough run in to the end.

The Panthers have one League match to play, Tondu at home on the coming Sunday kick off 2.30pm.

The Youth have finished their season, which for their young, inexperienced group has been a tough campaign, under coach Rob Hearn.

The U17s are still to play Neyland in the Plate competition, on April 22 in Neyland, KO 6.30pm.

Next season a new coaching group will lead this section of the club and they hope that the squad will improve from what they have learned during the past season.

The very keen and talented U13s will represent the club at the annual County Junior Finals Day and everyone at the club wishes them success.

Meanwhile, seven of the U15s squad represented Pembrokeshire Schools U15s at Maes Y Gwendraeth last Wednesday, losing narrowly by 28-26 to hosts Llanelli Schools, after a pulsating match; all of the lads were reported as having made solid contributions throughout the match.

Everyone at the club was delighted to receive the news that physio and local chiropractor Nia Matthews has been chosen in the GB Octopush squad to participate in an elite training weekend in Portugal over last weekend, where they were to play against other European international squads.

Tickets for the annual club dinner are on sale in the clubhouse; the dinner will be at the Town Hall on May 23.

Friday night walking/running club has now started for people of all ages and abilities, sessions will go on throughout April, May and June meeting around 6.15pm, then during July, August and September social rugby sessions take over, with U16s starting at 5.30pm for an hour, followed by 16yrs+ starting at 6.30pm. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate.

On May 14 the club is hosting a BBQ fundraiser at Cresselly Arms, starting at 5pm. There is a Ladies Day Bottomless Brunch on June 14 at the club, tickets are on sale at the bar.
