BOTH the Saturday Swingers GS and the Burrows GS recently visited St Davids City GC for their joint Summer Outing.
When departing the coach at 8.30am, there were gale force winds and it was very cold.
The weather did improve slightly throughout the morning and luckily it did not rain.
The links course enjoys a wonderful setting and was in fantastic order. Consequently, the golf was great fun as was the remainder of the day.
In view of the conditions, the scoring was generally acceptable. Richard Ormond and Juan Cruz both had 36 points. Martin Morris and Andrew Prosser each came in with 37 points.
The podium included Owen James with 38 points and newcomer Chris Evans who scored 39 points.
However, the clear winner on the day was the steady and dependable Ross James with a fantastic 41 points.
The top group comprised Ross with 41 points, Chris with 39 points and Andy with 37 points.
Their total of 117 points was no less than 18 better than any of the other groups.
Each group comprised a member from Swingers North, Swingers South and Burrows. The Burrows were the Winning Team.
