PEMBROKESHIRE Schools Under 12 sent two teams to compete in a tournament played on Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground and both excelled.

The two teams reached the semi finals with Mikey Loveridge’s side finishing runners-up and Niall Kinsella’s boys securing fourth place.

It was an opportunity of a lifetime for the talented players who were led by Matthew Price who said before the tournament: “We are all very excited about this one.

“At Pembrokeshire Schools FA we strive to give the boys the best football experiences as they grow up.

“However, it all comes at a cost and we would like to thank all of our sponsors for making this possible with a special mention to Minster Diesel Services, Pure Waters Window Cleaning and Rising Stars who have sponsored a new kit for the boys to wear at Chelsea.”

The tournament consisted of eight teams in two groups of four with the top two teams from each group going through to the semi-finals with all games played on the Stamford Bridge pitch.

It was some experience for the youngsters who also spent two nights in a London hotel and enjoyed a stadium tour and got to walk out through the tunnel onto the pitch for their first game.
