IDEAL conditions encouraged 11 crews to take part in two Tenby Sailing Club dinghy races around excellent courses set by Peter and Dewi on Saturday, May 18th.

Racing was extremely close with just over one minute separating the first five boats in Race 1:  1st, Osprey 1365, Carpé Diem, Dave Griffiths and Maurice Clarke; 2nd, Scorpion 1995, Silverlode, Peter Rose and Igor Otahal; 3rd, Osprey 1360, Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait; 4th, RS 200 1446, Ed and Em Dashfield.

Race 2:  !st, Osprey 1360; 2nd, Osprey 1365; 3rd, Osprey 1342, Best Chance, Ted Lewis and Lucas Boissevain; 4th, Scorpion 1995.

There was yet another cancellation in the cruiser racing due to lack of wind.

Organisers are hopefull the season will get under way on Friday May 31st at 12 noon.

Last Saturday’s quiz in the clubhouse was won by team ‘High Tide’, just one point ahead of team ‘Twp’.

A new series of quizzes will begin on Saturday September 28th.
