SPORT Pembrokeshire is offering a series of weekly multi-sport sessions for primary school age children. These classes are free to all participants and are currently taking place at Pembroke Leisure Centre.
There are two available sessions every Friday.
Session one runs from 3.00pm -3.45pm and is suitable for all pupils in Years 1-6.
The second session starts at 4.00pm (running until 5.00pm) and provides provision for girls in Years 3-6.
Staff from the Sport Pembrokeshire team will coach and deliver a variety of different sports and physical activities, which will include football, ruby, cricket, wheelchair basketball and other inclusive activities such as archery and boccia.
All participants will be asked for their input as to which activities they would like to try to ensure maximum enjoyment for every session.
Sport Young Ambassadors from Ysgol Harri Tudur will also be hand to assist with the delivery of these classes.
Sport Pembrokeshire is extremely grateful for the time that these young people give to volunteer to help other children.
Many of these young people go on to be part of the team’s paid workforce working in schools and community settings across the county.
The sessions have generously been sponsored by VALERO who are working in partnership with Sport Pembrokeshire to give new opportunities to young people to help them maximise their potential in and out of sport.
Sport Pembrokeshire also offer an additional series of sessions in other venues across the county.
