FOUR Redwings sailed Tenby Sailing Club’s evening race in a pleasant force 3 Westerly breeze on Thursday, 29th August.

Results: 1,  R241, Dan and Shep; 2, R228, Bill and Nan; 3, R190, Alex and Matt Shaw.; 4, R178, Jules and Howard.

The next Redwing race is on September 12th, with the earlier start of 5.30pm as the daylight hours shorten.

The wind had been blowing from the East, creating an annoying lop on the water for nine crews to begin racing on Saturday.

The sun was shining on the busy North Bay with swimming and rowing events also taking place.

One race produced results, but the wind died away to nothing, so a second race was not possible.

Junior Training:  The regular trainees  have covered a lot of the RYA Youth Sailing Syllabus and are close to achieving their respective qualifications. Two more sessions are scheduled, followed by an end of season social and awarding of qualifications on September 18th.
