FOLLOWING two washout Saturdays, the bowling season finally got under way at Pembroke Dock last Saturday when 32 members took part in a Probables v Possibles match at the Memorial Park.

Both teams contained experienced bowlers with a number of new members making their debut on the hallowed turf.

A hugely enjoyable afternoon ended in an honourable draw.

The season starts in earnest next Saturday when ‘The Dock’ take on Whitland at the Memorial Park in the qualifying round of the Carruthers Shield competition which is contested by over 300 clubs from throughout Wales.
