With thousands of properties across Pembrokeshire still without power this Sunday, on the back of Storm Darragh disruption, PCC Leisure Centres - including Tenby’s facility - will stay open today until 9pm - offering a warm space for people who are without electricity or other utilities.
Anyone can visit and you do not need to have leisure membership.
Available at each site will be:
• Warm space with hot drinks available
• Charging facilities for electric devices
• Hot water – people can bring flasks to fill up and take home
All Local Authority leisure centres will be open (except Fishguard which is closed due to storm damage), with opening hours on Sunday, December 8 as follows: Tenby; Crymych; Haverfordwest; Milford; Pembroke; St Davids.
More limited facilities will also be available at Letterston Memorial Hall until 9pm, as Fishguard Leisure Centre remains closed.
Normal opening hours will apply from tomorrow (Monday, December 9), with the exception of Fishguard which will be closed until further notice while repairs take place.
If you have friends or family who are vulnerable, and with no other support networks, please contact PCC on its out of hours social services number - 0300 333 2222.
This number is primarily for those individuals with emergency social care needs.
