With a MET Office Yellow warning for wind still in place until Sunday evening, Pembrokeshire County Council are warning people to avoid exposed coastal areas, as disruption around Storm Darragh continues.
“Please avoid exposed coastal areas as there are still strong northerly winds, plus high tides this lunchtime (Sunday, December),” said a spokesperson for PCC.
“Teams are prioritising clearing A and B roads to ensure our network remains open and accessible for emergency services and transport.
“Thank you for your patience. National Grid are deploying additional resources to address numerous power outages in the area.”
The MET Office has given the following update for Pembrokeshire on Sunday afternoon: “Storm Darragh will gradually move away today, however it will remain very windy, with gales possible in places, especially around coasts.
“Often cloudy with the odd shower possible but sunny spells at times in the west. Feeling rather cold. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
“Tonight - staying rather windy this evening but winds easing overnight. Isolated showers for a time but turning largely dry with clear periods. Feeling cold but remaining generally frost-free. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
“Monday - A breezy but much less windy day. Mainly dry with broken cloud and sunny spells. Not feeling quite as cold as over the weekend with temperatures around average. Maximum temperature 8 °C.”
