At this time of National Remembrance we also recall with affection those club members we have lost during the past year (writes Janice G)
These include our founder, the redoubtable Mags Davies at the grand age of 95, Phil Rogers, who battled on despite suffering from a brain tumour, and Bill Glynn with his big personality and aggressive playing style.
Our top pair on November 13 were Brenda and Alan with 63.02%, followed by Geoff and Paul V, and Julie and Julian on 57.14%. Three pairs made slams of 6NT+1 or 6C+1.
We welcome any new players wishing to join us on a Monday at 1.15 pm in Penally Village Hall. Refreshments are provided and there is a small car park adjacent to the Hall or careful parking on the narrow road outside. We would also love to see any ‘old friends’ who would like to return to our club. For more information, please telephone either Brenda on 01834 812132 or Alan on 870107.
