PLANS are well in hand for Tenby Sailing Club to host Dinghy Championships during August.
GP 14, Enterprise, and Miracle Classes will be in Tenby from August 2nd -8th, followed by the National Redwings from August 23rd-29th.
The recent local interest in racing the Uffa Fox designed National Redwing should boost the numbers taking part.
During the 1950s and 60s, as many as 16 Red Sails in the Sunset could be seen racing regularly in the North Bay.
Junior Training: Chief RYA Sailing Instructor Harrison Richards reports that Junior Training will run from 16th April to 17th September with the exception of 6th and 27th August when all facilities will be in use for the Championship events.
Registration evenings will be on April 2nd and 9th from 6pm.
Tenby Sailing Club captains, Ben Roberts and Tom Eyre, have called an important sailing meeting for all concerned to be held in the clubhouse at 6.30pm on Friday.
A Zoom link will be set up for those unable to attend in person.
TSC will be hosting an RYA Dinghy Instructor Course for the region on March 8th, 22 & 23, 28-30th, with three Tenby Members undertaking the course.
Clubhouse: Stuart Fecci‘s wake will be held at the Club on Thursday afternoon, January 30th.
