Dinghy Racing: Poor weather last Sunday prevented any racing. Race 2: 1st, Osprey 1234, 2nd, RS 600, 874, 3rd, RS Aero 7, 1017, 4th, Laser 178698. Thanks to Race Officer Peter Randles for organising the races in very changeable conditions.
Also racing on October 22-23 were Tenby’s Amelia Nuttall and Nina Marsh in the ILCA 4 girls Qualifier being held by the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy. Of twenty entrants, sailing six races, with five to count, Amelia came 5th overall and Nina came 10th, after sailing just four races. In the final two races, Nina had two seconds, and Amelia had two thirds. Well done girls.
Clubhouse: Tonight (Wednesday), Commodore Terry Evans is putting on an indoor BBQ to initiate regular Members’ Club nights on Wednesdays. The cruiser racing debriefing meeting was postponed on Saturday, October 28 and rescheduled for November 4 at 6.30pm (prior to the next Commodores’ quiz at 8pm. Members are reminded that the Menu for the Annual Prize Giving Dinner is now available, so please make your choices and book your tables without delay. The Dinner will be in the Giltar Hotel on Friday November 24.
