A sporting stalwart for Tenby’s budding tennis players has announced her retirement.

“It is with great sadness that I have to announce our top coach and administrator Alison Lewis is retiring from her role of over 14 years, to spend more time with her family and her new grandson,” said Tenby Tennis Club's Senior Coach Iân Morris.

“Alison has helped countless numbers of young players to develop their tennis skills for life and managed our administration with great efficiency.

“She will never be replaced and will be sorely missed. We all wish her a long, healthy and happy retirement and she will always be a welcome visitor to our small club. Thank you so much Alison."

Alison commented: “I have loved every moment of being at Tenby Tennis Club and have been delighted to watch players grow and develop over their time at the club.

“I have been involved with nearly 400 children during my time here and they have been an absolute joy and privilege to work with.

“It is a small club and we have been very much a friendly team and I like to think we have given the children a life skill in being able to play tennis.

“I shall miss everyone very much and wish you all well for the future,” she added.
