"Our clubs have classes for Little Dragons, boys and girls, from the age of five years," said a spokesperson for the West Wales Wadoryu Association. "They will be looked after in a safe and happy environment, where fun and fitness is important, incorporating confidence and discipline in the student.

"Pembroke Dock Club (Dojo) has a totally matted area, with punch bags, focus pads, body impact shields, strike towers and weights. Everything you need for a total work out, whether you are five or 50 years. Training is focused on students age and ability and split into two classes, Little Dragons, five years to 11 years, 6.15 - 7.30 pm, and 12 years and older, 7.30 - 9 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

"In our many years at Pembroke Dock we have produced many competition winners and black belts. We hold regular belt promotions from beginner to black belt. Competitions are held locally and nationally, for those that wish to compete.

"We also have a Karate Club in Carew run by Martin Morgan 4th Dan which meets every Wednesday at the Memorial Hall, Carew - juniors 6.30 - 7.30 pm, seniors 7.30 - 9 pm.

"We follow traditional Wado-Ryu karate which allows students of all sizes to fashion its concepts. It provides a quick and effective form of self-defence and is very effective at karate competitions."

Next event for West Wales Wadoryu will be our Kata and Kumite Competition (Forms and Fighting) Competition on May 27.
