TENBY suffered a painful defeat when they hosted Pembrokeshire League Division One champions Goodwick United at the Clicketts on Saturday.
The Seasiders seemed set to pick up a big three points when, with only six minutes of the 90 to play, they were leading 1-0 through veteran Richard Perry’s goal on the half hour.
The visitors dominated for long spells but came up against home keeper Dylan Noot in fine form.
But they kept grinding away and were finally rewarded when Will Haworth equalised on 84 minutes after good work by Rhys Dalling.
Boosted by that breakthrough, United netted a dramatic stoppage time winner, Haworth with a close range header from a well-worked corner.
Leaders Hakin United stay top of the table following their 4-1 win at Kilgetty who took an early lead through Lloyd Hughes from close range.
Justin Harding pounced on a rebound inside the area to fire past home keeper James North for the equaliser on 10 minutes and Hakin nudged ahead on the half hour when Alfie Stotter netted a 20-yard cracker.
A pretty even encounter was finally decided with a couple of late goals by Leo Power and Jay Kilby.
Milford United were comfortable 5-1 winners at Herbrandston, Scott Reid the main man with four goals for the visitors with Rhys Brawn joining him on the scoresheet. Adam Whatling replied for the hosts.
Merlins Bridge won by the odd goal in five at Carew after Jordan Thomas opened their account on the stroke of half time.
Marcus Griffiths levelled matter on 76 minutes and it looked like a draw was on the cards until substitute Liam Manwaring and Thomas Jago scored in the closing stages for the visitors.
Leon Davies reduced the deficit as the in the last minute but it was too little too late.
It was also a high scoring affair at Claberston Road who ran out 5-4 winners against Monkton Swifts after a remarkable game.
The visitors were three goals to the good at the break through Jack Clarke (2) and Ben Steele.
Jake Westley pulled one back for the hosts early in the second half but Liam Butland restored the Swifts’ three-goal buffer on the hour.
It was still 4-1 going into the final 10 minutes but the hosts somehow managed to take the three points with a couple of goals by Laurie Haworth and Ben John making it 4-4 before Travis Jones scored a dramatic stoppage time winner.
Pennar Robins won a close game against visitors St Ishmaels after taking a 2-0 goal lead just before the break courtesy of Cameron Brunton and Nick Willis.
There was little to choose between the two teams after the turnaround, the only goal of the half scored by the visitors’ Joel Mills.
Tish pushed for the equaliser but Pennar held on to the points.
