KILGETTY AFC Women players took part in the Milford United Football Festival on Saturday, 17 August.

Four women’s teams took part in the festival tournament, including hosts Milford United Ladies, Kilgetty AFC Women with Skewen and Penclawd Ladies teams visiting from Swansea.

Teams played each other twice, with Kilgetty remaining unbeaten throughout.

Plenty of goals were scored by Kilgetty AFC's Alex Young, Erin Griffiths and Sam Richards, with non-stop commitment from Imogen Reynolds in defence. Sharron Hardwick took first shift in goal with Becca Harts playing the remaining games, putting in an amazing performance.

Kilgetty Captain, Maisie Sherratt, held the team together throughout and selected Becca Harts as player of the tournament: "Want to highlight the cracking shift from Becca, definitely our Kilgettyty player of the tournament."

Goal of the tournament had to be Sam Richards' half way scorcher in their final fixture.

The women had a great day and thanked Milford United Festival for organising.

Kilgetty results: Festival First Half - Skewen 2 Kilgetty 3; Milford 0 Kilgetty 5; Penclawd 2 Kilgetty 2. Festival Second Half -Kilgetty 1 Skewen 0; Kilgetty 4 Milford 3; Kilgetty 3  Penclawdd 1.

Kilgetty won the tournament with 18 points ahead of Skewen with eight points.
