BEN Roberts in a Laser Radial won two dinghy races at Tenby Sailing Club on Sunday.

He was followed by Peter and Igor in Scorpion 1995, then Julian and Howard in Redwing 241.

Both races took place in a gusty force 3/4 with a steep swell from the Southeast, which made for some fast reaches with the boats catching the waves and surfing.

Peter Randles set a tight course which kept the boats in close contact and gave some fast lap times, under six minutes.

Behind the scenes, Ed Dashfield and the safety crew have been busy winterising the safety boats and peripheral equipment to ensure that everything is in good order and in compliance with RYA standards.

Clubhouse improvements this winter will include the complete refurbishment of the changing rooms.

The Annual Sailing Club Dinner Dance is on Friday, November 22nd at the Giltar Hotel, followed next day by the General Meeting.
