TENBY Sailing Club Midweek Series, Tuesday April 30th: 1, Nina Marsh; 2, Amelia Nuttall; 3, Jon Nuttall.

Saturday, May 4th: South Beach Challenge Cup. After two races, overall result: 1, Carpé Diem, Osprey 1366, Dave Griffiths and Maurice Clark; 2, Silverlode, Scorpion 1995, Peter Rose and Igor Otahal; 3, RS Aero 7, Dyfan Williams.

The cup winners were Dave and Maurice on a tie break from Peter and Igor, with Dyfan third on his first outing of the season. Next Saturdays racing is moved to Sunday at 3pm due to the Carten on Saturday.

It was another calm day for last Wednesday’s evening junior sail training with the wind varying from very little to nothing at all.

However with the tide out they were able have a short session on the beach teaching the new starts basic boat handling. It was followed by on the water sailing for the 13 young sailors.

The final quiz of the current series is this Saturday, May 11th at 8pm.

A Safety Fleet Training Day on May 18th for members to familiarise themselves with all the aspects of running waterborne activities will start in the clubhouse at 9pm. Information available from [email protected]
