An open meeting for residents to go along and work with Whitland Town Council on a flood prevention strategy for the town, has been arranged.
The meeting will be held at the Memorial Hall on Monday, February 17, from 4 to 6.30 pm.
There will be a member of staff from the Environment Agency to discuss surface water issues and methods of dealing with this problem.
"Residents will be aware Whitland is located within a valley with a number of rivers and streams converging in the centre," said Clr. Sue Allen.
"It is said the weather is going to be more challenging in the future, so we should act now to help protect the town, wherever possible," she added.
All are welcome to attend the meeting.
