PICTURED is Tregaron John Hammond, eldest son of Kevin and Eira Hammond, of Castle View, Saundersfoot.

Tregaron attended Greenhill School and in 1989 joined the navy as WEM in HMS Submarines. He specialised in foreign languages and job changes afforded him two opportunities for positions in the East and West coast of America.

More recently he was promoted to Warrant Officer on HMS Ark Royal on its last deployment.

After his ship decomissioned, he left to attend training in Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, and graduated as Leiutenant in warfare specialisation.

Tregaron is married to Gail and has two children, James and Emily.
