A village’s fundraising duck race has been praised.

St Florence County Councillor Rhys Jordan gave a “heartfelt congratulations” to the organisers of the annual Easter event, held on Good Friday.

“Despite the recent spell of poor weather, we were fortunate to have sunshine grace the event, complemented by robust water flows thanks to the plentiful rainfall, he said.

“A big thank you to everyone involved in organising and supporting this event, which has significantly contributed to much-needed funds for St. Florence School.”
