On an afternoon where batsmen generally held the upper hand, the young Saundersfoot team notched up wins over both Fishguard and Carew in the latest round of matches of the Nick Evans the Cricket Shop Club Pembroke County Cricket Club Indoor League.

In their first match, Fishguard scored 73-3, but Saundersfoot won comfortably with a total of 75-1.

Rhys Dalling top scored for Fishguard with 23, supported by Matthew Morgan (19) and David Haynes (16 not out).

In reply, consistent batting by Nick Cope (27 not out), Simon Stanford (16 not out) and Sam Butler (16 not out) gave Saundersfoot the winning edge.

Fishguard then took on Carew in the next match, but the Fishguard total of 82-1 was topped by the Carew score of 84-3.

Once again, Rhys Dalling (28 not out) and Matthew Morgan (26 not out) were the main contributors for Fishguard as Rhys Davies illustrated his all round potential with a fine 26 not out with the help and guidance of older head in the form of left hander Barry Evans (24 not out).

In the final match of the afternoon, Saundersfoot reached 104-4 against Carew in a team effort with a number of useful contributions with the Cope brothers leading from the front.

Richard scored 26 not out and skipper Nick chipped in with 18.

In reply, Carew were held to 83-3 as Rhys Davies top scored again with 28 not out and young Tom Scourfield supported well with a solid innings of 17 and Wesley Cole backed up with 14 not out.
