Thousands of people have enjoyed one of West Wales’ most picturesque bus trips thanks to the route being extended this year.
The Tenby Coaster has been taking daily passengers along a four-mile stretch of the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline since April, and as the school summer holidays approach, thousands more are expected on board the open-top bus until the service ends in September.
The route, which costs £6 for an adult, £4 for children and young people with a MyTravelPass, and is free for concessions, stops at various locations along between Tenby and Saundersfoot, passing by some of the area’s finest views.
Users can hop on board the popular double-decker run by First Cymru for spectacular views of the wonderful Welsh coast, and soak in the sights as the open-topper travels along Tenby’s Esplande overlooking South Beach, before winding through New Hedges, and then enjoying truly breath-taking scenery as it descend into Saundersfoot with commanding views over the historical harbour.
Ticket holders can also hop on and off as many times as they wish throughout the day, giving them a chance to explore this beautiful part of West Wales.
While the service has been extended, from four days last year to every day this year, passengers with a valid ticket also have the chance to save money thanks to partnerships with local businesses, including: £1 off a box of six brownies at Chockshop, a free tea or coffee with an all-day breakfast at the Snug Café and 20% off anything at Cadwaladers.
In addition, there is 20% off tea and coffee at the Giltar Hotel, which is also offering a one-night stay in one of its new deluxe rooms with breakfast and free Tenby Coaster tickets, thanks to a competition in partnership with FirstCymru.

“Whether you’re a commuter getting to and from work, a day visitor enjoying West Wales, or just someone who wants to sit back, relax and enjoy some fabulous views, then the Tenby Coaster is just the ticket.
“It’s an ever-popular route, and one we’re pleased to be able to extend this year, so you can catch the Coaster every single day!
“What’s more, we’re also helping support the local economy by partnering with local businesses to offer discounts for our customers.
“With the sun shining, an open-top bus and some of the finest views, now’s the best time to explore this lovely part of West Wales.”
