On Friday, a very successful and enjoyable Health Promoting Schools activity afternoon was held at Tenby Junior School. Pupils and staff took part in a massive skipping event in aid of the British Heart Foundation's Jump Rope for Heart scheme. Children in teams visited 15 different stations and did an enormous amount of skipping on a beautifully warm and sunny afternoon.
All of the sporting activities had been expertly arranged by PE co-ordinator, Miss Wood, and everyone agreed that a great time was had by all! Parents from the PTA kindly served fruit for refreshments, along with gallons of lovely cold water! The apples, oranges and bananas had been donated very generously by Mr. Scale, of Four Seasons, Tenby, whom the school would like to thank very much for supporting the event.
The British Heart Foundation supplied some equipment for the activities and in return the school will be making a donation to this excellent charity.
A thank you also goes to all parents and friends of the school who attended the afternoon, particularly the small, but magnificent band of parents of the PTA.
