NANTGAREDIG 37 pts.

PEMBROKE DOCK QUINS 0

The Quins turned around at the interval only eight points adrift to a try by right winger Iwan Thomas and a penalty from centre Meirion Davies.

And with a bit of luck, the score could have been much closer if Adam Cawley had managed to hold on to his own grubber kick with the line at his mercy.

The early loss of Kevin Bratcher did not help matters as he has been the Quins' most influential player this season.

The second half, however, was another story as the home side ran in a further four tries, with two for scrum-half Rhyddian Evans and one each for fullback Bleddyn Lewis and centre Davies, who also kicked another penalty and three conversions to end up with a match haul of 17 points.

The Quins will be hoping for a change of luck when they entertain Penygroes at home in a fortnight's time after visiting Llanybydder tomorrow (Saturday) in the cup.
