Redberth Croft CIC is pleased to announce that it has been awarded £1,000 from Grŵp Resilience to support the planning and development of its Market Garden Project.
The Market Garden Project is a key undertaking for Redberth Croft CIC, aimed at creating a sustainable source of fresh, local produce while engaging the community in hands-on agricultural education.
With the support of Grŵp Resilience, Redberth Croft CIC will be able to take the crucial first steps in transforming an underutilized space into a thriving garden that benefits the entire community.
“We are extremely grateful to Grŵp Resilience for their generous support,” said Daisy Coleman Founder and Director at Redberth Croft CIC.
“This funding will allow us to properly plan the layout and operations of the market garden and purchase the tools necessary to clear the space. These initial steps are vital to ensuring the long-term success of the project.”
Grŵp Resilience, known for its commitment to empowering local communities, awarded the £1,000 in recognition of the project’s potential to enhance community resilience and environmental sustainability.
This funding will be used to procure tools such as clearing saws, spades, and rakes, as well as to cover costs associated with professional planning services.
These resources will enable Redberth Croft CIC to prepare the garden site effectively, ensuring that it is ready for planting and future community involvement.
The Market Garden Project not only aims to produce fresh vegetables and herbs but also seeks to serve as a living classroom where community members can learn about sustainable gardening practices.
The careful planning and preparation funded by this grant will lay the foundation for a garden that is both productive and educational.
As Redberth Croft CIC embarks on this exciting journey, the organization looks forward to continued collaboration with Grŵp Resilience and other community stakeholders to create a space that will serve as a model of sustainability and community spirit.
