At the recent meeting of Kilgetty and Begelly Community Council, members discussed the proposed closure of the public toilets.
The Clerk read the latest correspondence from Pembrokeshire County Council who in recent months have been contacting Town and Community Councils across the county, in trying to get them to take over responsibility for running and maintaining public conveniences.
During discussions, Cllr Long proposed that the Community Council agree to the proposed contract on the condition it is a staged payment over the year, and that the toilets are refurbished and handed over in a good condition.
The contract will be monitored and reviewed later in the year.
Cllr Quigley seconded the proposal, with the majority of councillors in agreement.
