Sir,
Having visited Tenby many times over the years, I write this letter with a little elation on the day prior to my departure.
I was so very pleased to read today in the Tenby Observer that at long, long last action has been taken against indiscriminate parkers. Certainly, give them parking tickets.
Staying in Heywood Lane for some years, I have been appalled at the illegal double yellow line parking that has been allowed to go on for so many years throughout the town. Particularly dangerous I think is the parking at the bottom of the Maudlins and outside the washeteria on the Green. How there has not been an accident at this point I do not know. Between Smiths and Morris Bros would seem to be an area also that it is essential to keep clear.
Again, collecting friends from a guesthouse in Harding Street highlights the fact than an ambulance would have considerable difficulty in going down the street, let alone a fire engine which I am sure would find it impossible.
It is very encouraging that at long last action is being taken against the numerous inconsiderate/illegal parkers throughout your beautiful town.
Will I be back again, of course I will.
Peter Speight,
