Members of Kilgetty-Begelly Community Council have recommended that a planning application for the area be refused.
Councillors considered the following application at their recent meeting - 23/0419/PA - for the demolition of existing ruins of redundant outbuilding, to be re-built as a one bed holiday let unit and siting of glamping pod also for holiday let use, at Little Victoria House, Stepaside, SA67 8JS.
Following consideration of all the information provided by the Planning Authority, Cllr Long proposed that the Community Council refuse planning, citing concerns on the limited access to the premises; concerns of ongoing and potential flooding issues not been addressed.
Also there was no evidence that CADW had been consulted on the development, and also evidence that work has been carried out to date with no recollection of previous planning consent.
The Community Council are to request representation be granted at the Planning meeting. Cllr Thomas seconded the proposal all Cllrs in agreement.
At the same meeting, members were also given notice of other recent planning decisions for the area, as follows:
23/0278/PA: 1 Maes Elwyn John, Reynalton, SA68 0PE (Conditionally approved).
22/0994/PA: Catershook Farm, Templeton, SA67 8SP (Conditionally approved).
