Could Community Led Housing be the answer to your community’s housing need?
Roadshows take place in Pembrokeshire on Tuesday, July 9, 3-8pm at Neyland Hub and on Thursday, July 11, 3pm -8pm in Letterston Memorial Hall.
PLANED, the community development charity based in Narberth has appointed a Community Led Housing Development Officer to their growing regional team. Sarah Foster, a chartered surveyor, has over 30 years’ experience of working in housing development, planning consultancy and community engagement. The post is funded by Pembrokeshire County Council’s Shared Prosperity Fund through the UK’s Levelling Up Fund.
Focussing specifically on a proven need for affordable rented housing in Pembrokeshire’s towns and villages, PLANED is able to offer support and guide communities through the process of creating Community Land Trusts, providing homes which will stay in the ownership and control of communities forever.
A Community Land Trust enables communities to work together to take ownership and control of the housing stock. Its five key features are Community, Sustainable, Housing, Affordable and Forever. No two schemes are the same as no two communities are the same.
