The following planning applications were considered at this month’s meeting of East Williamston Community Council:
• 23/0567/PA: Fferm Cysgod Y Dderwen, East Williamston, SA70 8RT – replacement and reposition of farmhouse approval under 21/0034/CL (Certificate of existing lawful development for engineering works creating a residential dwelling (from former caravans, together with fixed units, lean to and decking) and new agricultural shed on site of existing dwelling.
Councillors objected to the application as it is located outside of the settlement boundary.
• 23/0604/PA: Proposed single storey sun lounge extension at Hanbury Lodge, Broadmoor, SA68 0RH.
Councillors offered no comment on the plans.
Members were given an update on play areas for the ward. They were told that the inspection reports for November had not yet been received, so members agreed to wait until they are received and then will inspect each play area and make a list of urgent items.
It was noted that there is a large pothole on Templebar Road outside Dorchester Cottage on northern side of road, and another one on Station Road where water is coming up from the ground near the first property on the right . Both have been reported to PCC.
