Kilgetty and Begelly Community Council’s application for funding for a new play park has been granted, with the installation of equipment due to commence by the end of January 2025.

At a recent meeting of the Community Council, the Clerk reported to members that he had met with the contractor, and a meeting would be arranged with the Task and Finish group to discuss any alterations or additions to the original plan.

Up to £100k has been granted for the work.

“The plan is to have the park open by Easter,” said Cllr Jerry Long.

“We have changed the layout and added more equipment that is accessible to people with all abilities as requested during our consultation process,” he added.
