CHRISTINE Wilson has been appointed Pembrokeshire County Council's new Arts Officer.
She comes to Pembrokeshire from Torfaen where she was Arts Development Officer.
Christine leaves behind five years of vibrant, successful and innovative development through a broad spectrum of the Arts, including jazz, rock, folk and classical music, visual arts, crafts, literature, drama, dance, performance arts, video, film and combined arts.
Before coming to Wales she was Artistic Director of Community Arts Northwest, in Manchester; director of the 1993 Berkshire Literature Festival; general manager of the Norwich Puppet Theatre, and director/creator of 'Bookbug', a children's literature project.
With a degree in visual arts, Christine also studied drama and has directed community theatre in East Anglia and South Wales.
She comes from a musical family and has worked as a storyteller for over 20 years alongside her role in the Arts.
She and her partner, the writer Mike Joseph, will live in Goodwick.
Christine takes up her appointment shortly and will be based at Haverfordwest Library.
