Narberth councillors are hopeful that the town’s castle will soon reopen, after being off limits to the public for some time, due to repair work being carried out.
A spokesperson for Narberth Town Council said: “So we have many people ask us what's happening with the Castle. We have finally had a response from Pembrokeshire County Council and CADW, who are responsible for the monument.
“Currently, an exception report is being prepared and required service sign off before the commencement of the works can proceed.
“Following the repair works, we hope that the castle will re-open for the enjoyment of the public.
“Narberth Town Council hopes that in the next few months, PCC and CADW will reopen the castle to its former glory!” they added.
