Over 200 people attended the first Hands-On Craft Day at the National Trust's Colby Woodland Garden on Bank Holiday Monday and they couldn't wait to get stuck in!
Children, parents and grandparents were all invited to 'have a go' at wool crafts with the Carmarthen Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, corn dolly making with expert Ceri Welsby, pottery with Yoka Kilkelly, of 'Siramik', or they could just do their own thing with some free form natural collage, guided by art student Kirsty McLean.
Event co-ordinator Elizabeth Sleight said: "It was fantastic to watch so many talented crafts people handing on their skills and enthusiasm to a whole new generation of children - the art of craft is definitely alive and this is certainly something we will do again."
