Fundraising events continue to be planned to raise money for a revamp of Kilgetty play park.

At the most recent meeting of Kilgetty and Begelly Community Council, members heard of plans from the Community Association on fundraising plans.

The date for the Fete is Sunday, August 25, with the 5k Fun Race also to be held on the same day but in the morning.

On Saturday, August 31, the Begelly Arms are also holding a fundraising event, two course meal and live entertainment for £25. Last year’s event raised over £1,400.

With the play park fundraising group requesting for up to £750 from the council for upfront costs, the Clerk advised that the donation request would be considered at the next meeting.
