People living in a Pembrokeshire village calling for safer walking routes - may soon get their wish.
Frustrated villagers of Moreton, near Saundersfoot, have long been calling for public footpaths to improve safety.
At this month’s meeting of East Williamston Community Council, county councillor for the ward Cllr Jacob Williams told members that this financial year, Pembrokeshire County Council had allocated funding for plans for prep work for a pavement between Moreton to Wooden.
He stated that on Moreton Close side of the road, they think that can put it in without using third party land.
“Residents have requested this for a long time and it will improve visibility from Clayford Road,” he stated.
“The speed limit in that area also may also reduce to 20mph.”
