Music icon John Lydon – aka Johnny Rotten - lit up the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven last night, with tales of his up bringing and extraordinary career - spanning decades.
The frontman and lyricist of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Ltd (PiL) caused a political earthquake and transformed music for good, but this spoken word show - ‘I Could Be Wrong, I Could Be Right’ - sees Lydon touring the UK this year, talking about how he sees life and answering questions from the audience.
As unpredictable and polarising as ever, Lydon spoke emotionally about losing his beloved wife Nora last year from Alzheimer’s; as well as his close friend and manager John ‘Rambo’ Stevens.
He also reminisced about his childhood, and fondly remembered trips through Wales to catch the ferry from Fishguard to Ireland.
There were stories of his time fronting the Sex Pistols and PiL; and he even left the audience with a snippet of punk anthem Anarchy In The UK (along with a sing-a-long to Welsh entertainer Harry Secombe!)
