Eighteen members braved the stormy weather to attend the December meeting of the Ludchurch WI at Longstone Community Hall in Ludchurch near Narberth in Pembrokeshire.
The minutes of the previous meeting and AGM were read out and agreed by the members. Best wishes were given to those celebrating birthdays and two guests were welcomed to the evening.
The president detailed the forthcoming events and activities from the County newsletter, encouraging all those interested to take part. the Ludchurch Carol Service to be held on Wednesday, December 20 at 6pm was mentioned, along with a reminder about the WI Christmas Dinner today (December 14).
Suggestions for speakers were requested and the new secretary and social/minutes secretaries were welcomed as they joined the committee for the first time.
The evening was then spent creating an amazing array of Christmas wreaths, with greenery and foliage donated from members gardens and tuition from a very patient and talented Margaret Oakley. Members had a lot of fun and the opportunity to take home their creations.
Members enjoyed a buffet supper and a raffle before the evening concluded at 9.30pm.
