The logo for the new English-medium Church in Wales VC Primary School in Tenby has been unveiled.

Pupils were asked to submit scenes and images they most associated with the town to Pembrokeshire County Council’s senior graphic designer, Gary Matthews.

Themes of sunshine, the seaside and of colourful town houses stood out and all made it into the final design.

Said headteacher, John Palmer: “With Gary’s help, we have an iconic Tenby scene that children and staff feel very proud of - a wonderful symbol for our brand new school.”

The new school is due to open in the autumn. Uniforms for pupils will be available to purchase after half-term from local suppliers.

Pictured at the entrance to the new school are just some of the talented children from Tenby Infant and Junior schools whose designs provided inspiration for the logo. Alongside John Palmer (standing, second left) are: Ginny Amos (Tenby Infants); Jason Carter (project manager) and David Griffiths (Tenby Juniors).
