A DRIVER from Sageston who drove a motor vehicle while over the specified limit of a controlled drug has been bailed pending sentencing at Haverfordwest Court.

Appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates in April, Daren Bradbury (54) pleaded guilty to driving the vehicle on the A477 at Milton when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, in his blood, 2.3ug/l, exceeded the specified limit.

This offence is contrary to section 5A(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was adjourned to consider if there are special reasons for not ordering an endorsement or disqualification. The sentence hearing will take place on Thursday, May 1.
