WITH eleven Penally Bridge Club members missing on a beautiful spring day - a coincidence? - there were some unusual pairings on April 7.

The results were: first place with 61.25% Lucy & Barry, second with 60% Pam & Alan, and third with 57.5% Kath & Dave. Yet again no slams were bid and made and the director is toying with the idea of introducing a prize for the first pair to achieve one.

Bridge Club meets each Monday at 1.15pm in Penally Village Hall. Play on Easter Monday is dependent on numbers available, so it is advisable to check with the director beforehand.
