It is estimated that 14.6 million people in Ukraine will need humanitarian assistance in 2024, and a group of Pembroke ladies have been lending a hand.

A coffee morning was held last Saturday along with a display of knitted blankets which were on the pews of St Mary’s Church, Pembroke.  They were the product of a combined effort between St Mary’s members and those of the Inner Wheel Club, Pembroke.

The colourful blankets will be taken in August to the Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership (SHAP).  From there they will be transported by lorry to Ukraine.
