A man who has just celebrated his 80th birthday has presented the HOPE MS Therapy Centre based in Honeyborough, Neyland with a cheque for £500 pounds.

This generous donation to the Pembrokeshire charity on Monday, July 15 was the result of fundraising by Mr John Shaw. He raised the money in support of HOPE from donations given to him for his 80th birthday, plus proceeds from making wild bird nesting boxes.

Chairman of HOPE County Councillor Simon Wright thanked John and his wife for their generous donation.

He said: “This donation will help the HOPE Therapy Centre continue to return to full strength following the difficult times experienced post pandemic. HOPE is recovering well and is practically back to its full operating capacity of four days a week – Monday to Thursday.”

At HOPE, both Oxygen and Physical Therapy treatments are offered for members. The only charitable therapy centre in West Wales that offers these combined services, it relies on donations from groups, organisations, businesses and individuals.
