18-year old Pembrokeshire folk singer Tomos Newman is still over the moon that his new single got played on BBC Wales’ Introducing show! Tomos, who released the song Lavender Fields recently, releases his full EP, Chain of Daisies, in August.

Lavender Fields one of six songs recently recorded at Studiowz in Clarbeston with producer Owain Fleetwood Jenkins. Chain of Daisies will be released in full at the iconic Burnetts Hill Chapel in Martletwy on August 10 with tickets available online through Main Street Music in Pembroke. It’s a slight deviation from his previous album Evermore, with appearances from Franklin Mockett of SAMANA, Jodie Marie, and Eline Brun of I See Rivers. Together they create beautiful harmonies and delicately crafted journeys that push Tomos’ heart-warming songs in a new direction without distracting the listener from his authentic style. Lavender Fields is as fresh and delightful as is sounds. Although beginning with mellow and intricate guitar work, this song very quickly becomes a perfect up-beat summer folk song, which will leave you counting down the days until the full EP release.
