Carew Community Council has praised a local resident, for sprucing-up one of the area’s traditional old phone boxes, which now houses a lifesaving defribillator.
The beloved old phone box located in Whitehill has had a stunning makeover — and it’s all thanks to the hard work and care of local resident Mr. Gerald Williams.
“A massive thank you to Gerald for transforming this tired landmark into a shiny, refreshed feature of our parish,” Carew Community Council shared on scoial media.
“It looks absolutely fantastic! Just a reminder to all — the phone box houses a defibrillator, a vital piece of life-saving equipment.

“You don’t need any training to use it. In the event of an emergency, the defibrillator will talk you through every step.
“Let’s hope it’s never needed, but please don’t hesitate to use it if the situation arises. If you do ever use the defibrillator, please let us know afterwards so we can ensure the batteries and pads are replaced promptly.
“It’s heartwarming to see members of our community taking pride in Whitehill and helping to keep it beautiful and safe. Thank you again, Gerald!” they added.
