Police in Pembrokeshire were called to an incident where a young child has been hospitalised with ‘serious injuries’ after being bitten by a dog.
Officers were called to Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, at around 6.50pm on February 22 to a report of a young child being bitten by a dog.
The child was taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain in hospital at this time.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police stated: “One dog was seized and has since been put down.
“One woman, aged 42, was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. She has been released on bail.
“The investigation team are continuing their enquiries and ask that you do not speculate on the circumstances of the incident,” they added.
