Last Saturday, members of Tenby Lifeboat Station received a cheque, on behalf of the RNLI, for the sum of £500 made up of donations from the family and friends of Rob ‘Bob’ Ellis, who passed away on June 25 last year. Rob, a much-loved local character, skippered the MV Shimo San for many years on pleasure and fishing trips out of Saundersfoot harbour. Pictured from left to right are duty coxswain Rob James, Rob’s brother and sister Don and Ruth, lifeboat treasurer and launching authority Wyn Griffiths and Rob’s eldest nephew David.
